:: Am I permitted to incorporate your items into my creations as full perm and sell them in Second Life?
No, our products cannot be sold with full permissions under any circumstances.
:: can I sell the sculpted map itself in SL?
No, sculpt maps can’t be sold or given away under any conditions.

Yes, you can indeed do so. However, be aware that the terms and conditions applicable to Second Life also apply to other grids as well as the source files.
:: Can you define “You can not sell it as is (stand-alone)?
You cannot sell our creations as they are or as stand-alone items. You must re-texture them or include them in your own creations in order to sell them. For example, you can sell a dress that includes my bow creation. However, you cannot sell only the bow with the textures I provide. You must create your own texture for the bow in order to sell it. Minor tweaks, such as changing the colour, are not considered original textures and are not allowed.
:: If you don’t want us to sell textures, why do you include full perm textures in your packages?
Textures are included to be USED, not to be SOLD.
Textures can be used to add details (logos, names, designs, etc.) or to tweak for personal use.
Textures can be used as a visual guide while creating textures; they can be used as a tool for texture-making
Textures can be used to learn to texture
Textures are modify because: The owners can download them to their hard disk

Full perm is a Second Life term used for the ability to modify, copy and transfer

Yes
:: Can I add prints (such as a logo or letters) to your textures and sell them?

:: Can I use your Shadow Maps and UV maps while creating my textures?
Yes, you can use any elements in the box to create your own textures as long as your final texture doesn’t resemble the original.
I am new to the building business and I wanted to buy some of your products with full permission. Does it mean that if I build a house and use your products and rezzer and put some other textures on it, as my products. Let’s say my house? Wasn'[t sure because it said …..It can only be given away with your creations. You can not sell it as a stand alone item in Marketplace or in SL.
I dont’ want to sell is as a stand alone but part of the building as a rezzer
Hi Atilla,
Yes you can sell them as you mentioned
Hi Meli
i really like your creations and bought from you but i didn’t use any thing of what i bought yet, i want to make full avatar (skin, shape, eyes, clothes, shoe) is it ok if i put something from your creations in it?it will be copy only permission
Hello Cilin, Yes It is ok to put my items in your creations as you mentioned
thats great thank you <3 and keep up the good work
Hi Meli,
A friend pointed me to your listings and there are several items I am interested in.
To promote my store, I participate in hunts and give out group gifts on occasion. Can we give out your items as hunt/group gifts as long as they are not permanent freebies? I do not plan on selling anything full perm.
Thanks!
Hello Jackie,
My items can not be redistributed freely or given as freebie under any condition.
Regards
This rule has changed, please refer to my Terms and Conditions for hunts above.
hi Meli!
So many nice things ! Thank you for making such cool things for 2nd life! I am confused though, you sell full perm, but then ask not to sell on SLM… do you want small merchants to buy these or not ? Full perm usually means, free to do as you wish , just don’t sell/give full perm. You seem to have changed the meaning of “full perm”. And please explain this term…. stand alone.
thank you !
Hi Body, Full perm means I checked modify, copy and transfer. You can modify, copy and transfer my items under my terms and conditions. Also there is another check box -User licensed – which is also ticked. My terms and conditions are not restricting at all (probably one of the most helpful one around there). You can not sell it as it is (stand alone)is a standard condition for any 3d model selling website. It means you need to re-texture them before selling or include them in your creations(putting your own effort o it)(Providing next owner is aware of my… Read more »
Hi Meli,
Just wanted some clarification on your user license. If I add animations to a chair and sell it mod only, is that allowed? And can I then sell it on the Marketplace?
Thanks,
Jillian Fairey
Hello Jllian,
You can add functions and sell my items on MP as you described.
Awesome thank you Meli
Meli,
If I sell your items in Second Life (not on the marketplace) may I sell them for less than your listed price? I’m a bit confused on the pricing for inworld products. Thank you!
Hello Candy,
Yes, you can providing your price should not be less then 50L$.
Hi Meli,
I came across your products and I love the work you do. I was curious about your license for items you list as already textured. Would someone still have to retexture these to sell them by themselves? For example, if I wanted to sell a pair of your shoes as a finished product, but all by themselves.. would I need to retexture them?
Hi Keira,
Thank you. Yes you need re-texture them if you want to sell them.
Hi Meli, I was curious about some things and have a couple of questions. 1. Could you please define in more detail what would you consider “minor tweaks” to the texture? Since you include full textures with your products, naturally people would be using them as a base. For example, if I would be using your desaturated texture as a base for shadows and folds, and then add colors and patterns (like leather) on top. Would that be considered minor tweaks and thus in violation of your ToS? Where is the line when the texture becomes “your own”? 2. Do… Read more »
Answer to your first question:
– You can use details in my textures as base (such as folds, wrinkles etc.)
– The final pattern can not be same as mine
– Changing only color on shadow mapped version is considered as minor tweak and not allowed
– General guide is that the designers put a genuine effort to create something on their own.
Answer to your second question:
– You can use my alpha maps as you wish. My texture rules don’t apply to alpha maps. You can give them away as you receive.
hi i bought one of your mesh dress and going to sell it in my store but a friend as if i could change the color but leave the dress as is just want a different color on it…. just so it more clean changing just the color of the outfit is not allow at all ?
Hi Lorene,
Changing only color and selling is not allowed
Really excellent work you do. Please consider me an admirer. I want to be very careful about complying with your TOS. Please confirm or correct my understanding of the following: #6 in your TOS says: “My items can not be sold *with* my textures under any condition…” *With*, meaning not as seperate files in a retail box, *with* meaning not within the individual garment, or both? I interpret “under any condition” to mean both: that I can make a non-fullperm garment for resale ONLY with my own fabric texture applied to your mesh, and none of your seperate files would… Read more »
Hi Stephen, Thank you,
1- Correct, my textures can not be sold applied on a garment or separately. They can not also be included in your sale box/folder.
2- No, this rule is only for not including shadow map or uv map in your sale box/folder. You can use shadow map or uv map as you wish to derive your own textures (such as merging shadow map with your texture in Photoshop)
Hello,
I was wondering if users are allowed to put demo textures on your items and sell for L$0 or L$1 so that customers might try the Mesh sizes to make sure they fit their avatars before purchase of our store outfits using your mesh, or if this would in fact be a breaking your TOS? (If giving DEMO items away they would be set with no permissions at all.)
Yes as long as you have your textures applied on them.
I would like to include a vendoe display for your racing style suits in our new flying site sim.
How do I contact you about how to set this up?
Bob
Hi Meli,
I’m not experienced and I bought a top white (shoulder Full Rigged Perm Cut Tank Top Ladies Off).
I want it white and do not know how to change the color, since for my size is only black. and do not have hud.
you can help me.
I bought the Bra let top thinking it was mesh silly me didn’t read but can i sell it alone since its non mesh? i’m a bit confused on how i can sell this one according to TOS
Our Terms and Conditions apply to all our items.
Hi Meli,
First, thank you for providing these wonderful creations for us to work with!
I have a question regarding the TOS regarding giving away items for free. Most residents prefer “demos” of rigged mesh clothing to try before buying. Based on feedback on blogs, residents do not like paying for demos (even $1L). Is it of to offer free demos provided that they are copy only? My demos are copy only, have “demo” all over the texture and a floating box above the head.
Thank you!
Hi, Thank you. Yes you can make demo items as you described for models using your textures only
Hi Meli, I am interested in some of your products, but I am not sure I fully understand your pricing requirements. Here is what I want to do. I want to purchase a full-perm clothing item from you. Then I want to apply my own textures. Then I want to use a root-prim so that your name does not show as creator. Finally, I want to use the item as a single part of a complete outfit that I build using some other items I created myself. I will set the perms to no-mod, no-transfer. If I do this, am… Read more »
Yes, it can’t be any less than 50L$ if you are using your own textures
Hi,
First of all thanks for making all these great products. I love your clothing:)
One question; i’ve read your rules but they still confuse me.
Can i sell your products without re-texturing them as no mod, copy, no trans?
Best regards,
Gradus
It is not allowed to sell our products as is.
Hi Meli, I like your shoes and clothes. Thanks for sharing these meshes.
My questions are:
1. Could i attach a prim to the shoes so it would appear i did the creation? (I know this is sneaky. I tried doing it cuz once someone inspects, the object you can find out who made which items. Other creators allow this.
2. I rather buy the mesh so i can also use it in other OS grid. Can I request some items i am interested in to buy so i can create them in other OS grid?
Thanks and more power
Lexa
1- Yes we allow that
2- You can post your requests on our Facebook page, here or you can send them to Epidone Residne in SL
Olá eu posso usar sua textura e modifica-lá no photoshop?
Hello, Meli! Thank you for your amazing work! I have a little question: Does the term #2 (Conditions of giving my items in HUNTS) also applies to the hair? I wanted to use one of your hair kit for mix&match complete avatar and put it as limited hunt gift (for 1 week), after it will be sold at full price, regarding to term #14. Other parts of avatar are original items,or purchased in different stores, hair made of kit will come with my own textures and correct permissions. So,can i use it for hunt under such conditions or it’s forbidden?… Read more »
Hello, Term 2 (Hunts and Gifts Rules) does not cover any item that has its original texture, therefore, hair are excluded.
If i buy one of your full perm items and texture it and send it to my business partner to add to her designs like say if i textured a skirt and she textured a shirt and i sent her the skirt full perm (no UV map just the item and the alpha layer)to make a full outfit and her sell it (not full perm) is that ok? or not?
Please awnser back my IM inworld from Cherriemist Resident
We can license one item to only one username.
Hi there! First would like to say you do amazing work! I understand all of TOS except one thing. I know that upon purchasing your items that if I plan on reselling them they must be retextured unless complying with rule #12. In that rule you state if we use your items textured as is it, it is allowed only if they are part of a mix and match rule. Now with that said, am I correct in assuming that you mean we can mix several items of yours together with your textures on them and sell them for the… Read more »
You can use it in mix and match but our items cannot be the main product, you can use them in your products, you cannot combine only our products and sell them.
It applies to all items (dresses, accessories, builder’s kits…)
So I buy one of your ‘Full Perm’ items & retexture it, set it to ‘Copy’ or no perm rights. I am allowed to sell it on my mp & in-world store correct & my selling price can’t be 25% lower?
Also, am I allowed to set the selling price around L$100 & more L$ correct as well??
Correct.
There is no maximum price limit. Let’s say you purchased an item from me for 200L$, you can’t sell it any less than 50L$, you can sell it for any price higher than 50L$ (100, 200, 1000 …)
So, i can use any of this templates, put my own made textures , set to only copy perms , and give to my clients as a group gift for to promote my store group? as you say in here: Conditions of giving my items in HUNTS , as GROUP GIFTS or similar purposes: You must create your own textures (it can not be given away with my textures). It can not have uv map and shadow map in it. It can only be given with “copy” permission. It must have purpose of promoting of your business or group. and… Read more »
Hi Medussa,
Yes, you can as you described. In addition to that you can only give maximum two of my items at a time as group gift.
But what about Midnigth Mania and Lucky Chairs? can i? i mean a MM and a Chair only for my group members
Yes, as long as it complies with Rule 2:
Conditions of giving my items in HUNTS , as GROUP GIFTS or similar purposes:
You must create your own textures (it can not be given away with my textures).
It can not have uv map and shadow map in it.
It can only be given with “copy” permission.
It must have purpose of promoting of your business or group.
Rule 2 is valid for any similar promotional purpose.
Hi Meli, Your creative hand is the best that I have found over the grid. I am the blogger for “4m my Eyes!”. The facebook page is soon to reach a 125 like mark and the blog is to reach 10,000 viewership soon. As a thank you to my readers, I would like to arrange for a give away for the people who have liked and the followers and and a raffle for my readers. I was wondering if I could do that for any 2 of your products (apparel, one for man and woman each). In order not to… Read more »
I’m reopening my Marketplace store (I make and sell women’s avatar shapes) and would like to include your hair in bundles (avatar + skln + hair) or sell it separately as an accessory to my shapes.
What must I do? Must I alter the hair with my own textures, or may I use the textures IN the hair as long as I make the hair no modify and no transfer and distribute NO textures as separate files (same for UV maps and shadow maps)
I understand your hair must sell for its original price.
Hi Angelpatty,
You can include the hair in your full avatar (it can not be full perm), however, you can’t sell it as standalone hair separately for your avatar.
I am confused in the pricing.
You state in a reply to someone,
“Correct.
There is no maximum price limit. Let’s say you purchased an item from me for 200L$, you can’t sell it any less than 50L$, you can sell it for any price higher than 50L$ (100, 200, 1000 …)”
So if your price is 250L$ I may retexture with my own texture and resale for no less than 63L$?
200L$ resells for no less than 50L$
149L$ resells for no less than 38L$
Is this correct?
Hi Trinitydawn,
Yes, correct.
My question is on the clothes. Would love to try my hand at the clothing and I understand the TOS as stated above, however my question is, what about demo’s of the mesh clothing. Since we are not allowed to give items out for free is there a rule and making an item a demo and giving that for free?
Hi Angel,
You can give demos providing;
– Your own textures are applied and no maps included
– Demo branded
Hi Meli,
Can the full perm template be used across worlds (i.e. other platforms besides SL)?
thanks
what are the rules governing use in other worlds – i.e. InWorldz, etc.?
Hi Angelique, The same Terms and Conditions apply to other virtual platforms as well.
Hi Meli, are we allowed to add a prim to change creator on a template with our own texture & no transfer no mod setting applied, was just wondering if customers would be messeging You then with any problems if we don’t .
thank You, your work is amazing 🙂
Jiji
Hi J2,
Yes it is allowed to add prim to change creator name.
Hello, I would like some clarification on #3…It can not have uv map and shadow map in it.
I use the shadow map as a guide to make my own texture with wrinkles and shading. Does this mean I am not allowed to use the map period or would I need to create completely new wrinkles and shading? And how would that work if I wanted it to be more realistic and my own personal shading for shadows were in some of the same places you have placed. Wouldn’t this not be considered tweaking?
Hi Sahara,
You can use any of the materials provided to create your own textures as long as your final product is original to you and doesn’t resemble mine.
I would like to use your products stand alone but modified into a new creation. I was wondering can I use your supplied textures in that configuration?
Example I would add a meter, lights, and scripts to a item like the backpack you sell.
Hi Jennifer,
Yes, You can as you described providing my product is not the main product you are selling or you are adding new functions to it (e.g. scripting; like you can add animations and scripts to my bed furniture and sell it with the same textures). Please also make sure it complies with other Terms such as price rule and not including source maps.
Hi Meli,
I really like their creations in general, so far I’ve used items for the construction, but now because of a woman’m interested in fashion. It strikes me that rule of its Terms and Conditions.
My question is, if I use one of his dress, which costs me 250L $, I add some shoes and jewelry that are not created by you, I portanto I can sell the outfit with his creation as it is at a price not less than 250L $.
I understand the rule right?
Yes, the price cannot be any less the purchase price if you are using our product as is in your creation, however, in your scenario, it is not sufficient because our product is still the main product, if you are using our items in your creation our item cannot be the main product.
Two quick questions:
1) I have made my own textures for your product and applied your shadow maps. I set permissions to no transfer. Can I resell that product as a stand-alone in world and on MP as long as I sell it at the price I paid for your full-perm version?
2) I’d like to credit you in the listings in some manner, such as “creator of mesh item and shadow map.” Do you mind that? I love your work and you’ve breathed new life into my content creation. Thanks!
1- Yes, the price can be min 50L$
2- Yes of course and thank you.
I understand the rules of which the licensing cross grids but i have a dif name on Inworldz from sl is that okay or do i need to recreate the same named character???? HELP
You can use a different name, however, we license it to only one username, therefore, you cannot transfer it to several usernames.
Ive actually got two questions for this:
1. If I am using my own textures and there is an event like 25L Tuesdays or 35L Saturdays can I participate in them with these items?
2. Are these items allowed to be used in gachas for 50L minimum?
1- Our items cannot be sold any less than 50L$ for any period of time
2- Yes, as long as you create your own textures and permissions copy transfer not thicked at the same time.
Hello, I bought MI Easy Color and Texture Changer Hud v1.2 . and I would like to know if it works with these textures (MI86884 Mesh Head Accessory – Fashion Kit) Not specified in the instructions (or do not understand ) if it works with two linked objects. It does not specify that the hud change the textures of these two objects separately. Example .: Two flowers that will have different groups of textures. Change each flower with its different groups with the same hud . The example that comes with the purchase is a romper mesh , which has… Read more »
This particular one can control only one object (even it is linked), however, we will be releasing advanced version shortly which will control several meshes objects from the same HuD.
Hello, I am planning to place demo giver of my skate hud for the promotion
and I would like to place skates giver too so that people can get skates(your product) for free.
Skates don’t be include in my product.
I will make my own texture, don’t include UV and shadow map and set its permission to copy-only. Is my case ok?
Yes it is ok as you described providing you also have the right permissions (no transfer).
I am looking at the “Full Perm Mesh Paintball Gun – Builder’s Kit”, thinking I could build a custom paintball arena using it. I would be modify the scripts in the gun to work with an arena controller. Then, to function, players would need to obtain a gun from the arena controller’s kiosk. If the gun is “given” with no perms and will only function with the controller it came from, is that sufficient for giving out the gun for free? Also, what additional requirements if I were to productize the arena system? Thanks. – Stormy
Yes as long as the gun doesn’t have transfer permission and is not the main product in your final sale.
Hi Meli!
I have a question about events. I scanned the comments for this question, but if I missed it, my apologies.
Would it be okay to sell items, modified with my own textures for less than 50L for a limited time? Say two weeks?
Our items cannot be sold any less than 50L$ for any time period, however, if you want to give it as a gift it is subject to our Gift rules.
Can I use purchased .dae files for Sansar, or is that considered another “grid”, whereas stated above in the question “:: If I buy your source files can I upload them to other grids and use or sell them there?” I understand there will be avatar rigging differences and such, but I wanted to make sure i’m not breaking TOC if I try learning there with dae’s and sell them in Sansar.
You can use our items in Sansar, Sansar is considered as another grid (platform).
1) If I buy the whole kit with DAE download to sell on other grids say that is 1500L how do I know how much to sell the completed dress for? Since it is a kit?
2) If I include a hud with other textures how much can I then sell that for?
Sorry for the questions but we have been reading and reading the terms but I want to do this correctly so no problems arise.
The same rules Terms and Conditions apply to other grids. You cannot sell our dae as dae or in any source file format in any platform.
Yes, this is considered a gift rule. We consider it okay you give your item with your textures with no transfer permissions to a (or a few) friends).
None of our items can be sold any less than 50L$, free gifts are subject to our Gifts rules.
Hello,
I just wanted to ask if it is ok to sell your items with my poses that I used them with in my pictures as mod only to be able to resize them and with no textures nothing just the item alone with my poses as a package.
I ask this so that people that buy my poses can recreate the same kind of picture.
I will also have a link to your store in each description were I would use and sell you items with my poses.
Thank you.
Tronixx
Hello Tronixx, This is only allowed providing your product’s selling price is not any less than our items total price. Maximum 2 Items can be included at a time.
